  I've been saying all summer that, come August, I would send out mailers and really do the real Professional Freelance Illustrator thing. Which I'm working on. One of the things I decided to do was sit down and write out a Business Plan, just to solidify my goals, ideals, etc. When I came to the "Customer" section, there was a little survey about what to think about when defining your ideal client. This was my actual thought process when filling out the questionnaire.

Wow, thanks for your encouragement! I think artists are frequently nervous about putting themselves out there and believing they are good enough, so your comment means a lot. I actually just barely sent out my first mailer last week! I'm nervous but I made a commitment months ago that I would send a mailer in August, and so I had to follow through. For me, that was a good method--giving myself a due date with enough time to get ready, but not so far away that I didn't take it seriously. Leave a Reply. |
