The Artist and the Engineer: how I've been feeling lately

We're back from our Thanksgiving trip! It was long but good. And we're glad to be home and back to normal life--that is one of the best parts of vacation in my opinion, the fact that they make you glad to get back to your boring old life as it was before.

Well, not quite normal life. You see, lately I've had this problem. I absolutely swear that my stomach has had a mind of it's own for the last several weeks. The feeling was so strong I had to make some comics about it.

And I actually LIKE pickles. Sometimes my stomach wants things that are GROSS.

Ok, so if you don't get it yet... I don't have some weird new stomach complaint. Well, I guess you could describe it that way, but most people call it "pregnancy".

Yes, we have a baby coming in June! We're really excited.

OK, so rather than some cute and clever little image with a rhyme or a pun I had to go and make a comic complaining about how I feel terrible and have weird cravings where I look like a crazy person talking to parts of my own body, but I promise we are REALLY REALLY EXCITED. Drawing things is just how I cope I guess--rather than pretend that pregnancy is all glorious and joyful, I'd rather be honest and say there are parts of it that have been hard, despite the fact that we're really happy about it. And I am especially excited that the morning sickness seems to be behind us for now (knock on wood).

Thanks :-). Protein has been a hard one, since I've had this aversion to meat, kind of an anti-craving... I'm trying though. Nuts have been a staple of morning-sickness-coping, so that's good as far as it goes. Hopefully meat will be more appetizing now that my stomach seems more settled. *crossing fingers*
